Development of advanced Human behavioral tools and methods has equipped us for self analysis, it is important for modern day humans to do self assessment regularly and adapt.
I share with you, today an amazing tool called as "Stress Continuum Model" for all of you to understand and analyse, do internal mirroring and know where you stand in the psycho-social level.We all deal with peer pressure and competition stress, that has effects on our mental integrity and confidence.
Stay relieved all of you, we do not have to be defeated to this stress, in stead we have to self assess and move towards updating ourselves. We need to constantly keep reminding ourselves to evolve and adapt rather having stress and perish.
Mental integrity or mental health in general are basically defined in 5 categories.
1. Excelling - "I am creating and aligned."
Cheerful. High performing. Clear and Energized. kind and compassionate. Open communication with connected mind. Growth mindset. Dynamic thinking and consciously developed.
2. Thriving - "I got this."
Mindset is always calm and steady. No mood fluctuations. Consistent performance. Adjusts readily to changing conditions. Takes feedback positively. Focused. Effective communication. Normal sleep and appetite.
3. Surviving - "Something isn't right."
Nervousness. Mood fluctuations. Easily irritated or overwhelmed. Difficulty in adjusting. Increased need for control. Relations, activities become less interesting. Muscular problems. Low energy. Trouble in sleeping/eating.
4. Struggling - "I can't keep this up."
Persistent mood swings - panic, fear, anxiety, anger, sadness. Fatigue, body pains, headaches. Restless, disturbed sleep. Poor performance, difficulty in making decisions. Not focused. Self medicating with substances or food.
5. In crisis - "I cant survive this."
Disabling. loss of function. Panic attacks. Unable to sleep. Feeling numb and lost. Thoughts of suicide and self harm. Nightmares or flashbacks. Withdrawal from relations and activities. Substance/food dependence. Stress in coping up. Enraged or aggressive.
Be self aware. The above types are very self explanatory and easy to understood. The tool is simple to use and easy to know about your mental well being stature. We should be ideally falling in Excelling or thriving category to be growing and succeeding in our respective spheres.
Idea of utilizing this tool is to benefit from the analysis it provides with, by correcting in the areas where we lack. So all the best with self mirroring to all of you!!
