I'd like to share an interesting incident from my vacation with all my readers today. As the vacation period came to an end, all cousins decided to have one last get-together before the school year began.
We planned our dinner at a nice ambient restaurant along with our kids. The place was quiet crowded as the tourists had flocked the city. we were accompanied by our parents and the place had many other families.
As the evening began, all of us began recalling our childhood days and the pranks that we played on our Grandma and aunts and neighbors. From bringing in stray puppies at home, to running away to beaches without informing etc. All this story telling among us was accompanied by frequent scolding to tick off to our kids as they were repeating our versions of childhood...ha ha ha ..what an irony!!
As giggles and chatter started taking shape, we forgot where we were and our parents expressed concern as they exclaimed, "You guys are very noisy, you seem to be disturbing others at the venue!"
We seemed to be ignorant to the warning signs as we got happier and merrier with our chats moving forward. But the warning sign, triggered a thought in my mind, "Aren't the Nosiest tables the most Happiest??"
I mean happiness is always noisy, it is grief that breaks you and makes you silent. And why not, we can silence our grief, but we can never silence our happiness. It is something which multiplies on sharing. I realized, the memories that we were sharing were our valuable happiness that we were multiplying together.
So next time when you see a noisy table at the hotel or restaurant, try to remember your noisy table time. Perhaps that must be the most original time in your life when you had the joy of being together and must have experienced true happiness. And I am sure all of you must have innumerable such noisy tables!
Don't be apologetic the next time you are sharing joy over your table and are being noisy.
Cheers to all those noisy table times who have seen true happiness and joy of togetherness!!
